On Solitaire, I must have been really tired, last night, not to notice that the bottom part (as letters in decimal) reads, "THIS DECODED" or "DECODED THIS" when reversed.

On "Base Nine" or "Solitaire" I think maybe we're supposed to read the dice in reverse order. Otherwise, I can think of no reason to have single "ones" and pairs where there is a blank die and a one....

Do we know anything at all about the history of the device?
Given that the header of the file appears to make it something in the JPEG family, it'd have to be from sometime after 1992 when that stand...

Just tell them to "LPR" the file to a floppy instead of the printer.
Be aware that it may decode to a binary file, which wouldn't look like anything meaningful in a text editor.

The middle horizontal column should be "5 1 1 5 1 1 1 4 1 1"

I'll toss out another quickie.
I tried playtesting this myself and am pretty sure it's doable, but it's one of those where if you made it, it's hard not to make inappropriate jumps when testing.
